"We stayed at Chateau Les Maurins for 10 nights and had ‘Loving Aquitaine’ cater 6 events for us. We went over the menus with Sylvie ahead of time and she was very accommodating for special needs and choices. All the meals were delicious and we only have praises for the quality of the food and service. The two favourite events, from guest comments, were the wine tasting and the Gascony Menu (roasted pork with plums). Thank you Sylvie and Pascal!"

"We reached out to Sylvie on recommendation from the company we booked our accommodation through. She was incredibly helpful from the beginning, ensuring our requirements were fully understood and that a dinner menu was created based on our preferences! It was great to have someone local to entertain us on our first trip to Bordeaux! On the evening of our dinner, Sylvie and Pascal arrived as planned, and began setting up while we finished getting ready, they made themselves at home in the kitchen and we barely noticed they were there - true professionals! The food - I don't know where to start here, other than it was amazing! The duck, we all agreed, was the best any of us had ever tasted! It was great to try so many local cheeses and wines, and Pascal did a fantastic job of bringing to life the history of some of the dishes and explaining why specific wines had been chosen. We are all hoping to return to France in the near future and will definitely be booking another dinner if we do, we will also have no hesitation in recommending Sylvie & Pascal to friends and family visiting the area!"

"Sylvie and Pascal prepared dinners for twelve of us during our one-week stay outside Bordeaux. One of the dinners was a special wine and food pairing with Pascal giving very interesting commentary on the background and history of the region with special attention to food and wine. He is a wonderful speaker and this was a highlight of our week.
Above all, Sylvie and Pascal were responsive to our wishes and needs. Three people in our group had dietary restrictions, and they always offered that person a tasty alternative, while still providing the dish in question for the rest of us. When we asked for a light meal, they responded appropriately. In one case they substituted freshly gathered picked strawberries from a neighbour’s garden, with red wine, for a heavier dessert. All the dishes were tasty, appetising, varied, made of locally sourced ingredients, and pleasing to the eye.
Our final dinner featuring foie gras and confit de canard was especially memorable. I loved the sauces
and condiments served alongside the main courses.
Sylvie and Pascal are delightful people, very good company, and they added immeasurably to our visit, helping us understand the region and history. Their backgrounds as artists and singers greatly add to their charm."

"We have just arrived back from a 10 night stay in the Dordogne. We rented a villa and to make our holiday extra special we chose Sylvie and Pascale to look after our catering needs.
Communication before our holiday was reassuring, they understood what we wanted before we arrived and we felt confident in putting our trust in them.
During our stay Pascale was always on hand to deliver a professional and knowledgeable 'front of house' service. Pascale's knowledge on the local region's wine, food and history meant we learnt a tremendous amount about how to appreciate the Dordogne to its fullest.
Sylvie's food was outstanding, especially the gourmet menu she designed. Will we ever taste duck this good again? What made this extra special was that the standard of food was consistently high throughout our stay.
What a great team Sylvie and Pascale make. We couldn't recommend them highly enough. They made our holiday truly memorable.”

“After a recommendation I got in touch with Sylvie and Pascal and they arranged a picnic in a local vineyard for my family (a party of 8). We were not disappointed! After some knowledge from Pascal about the grapes with some history and very interesting facts about wine making and indeed the surrounding area we sat down for our lunch in the middle of a gorgeous vineyard surrounded by trees. Each course was delicious and the wine thoughtfully paired to make sure the wine and the food tasted their best. Pascal’s knowledge of wine is incredible and Sylvie’s cooking is some of the best I have ever tasted – so much so in fact, we had them back to our house a few days later to prepare an amazing dinner at home for us. I cannot wait to go back later in the year and do it again.”

"We absolutely love this corner of the world and our stay at Le Bouge has been absolutely perfect. A very “significant birthday” was celebrated with friends and family from Australia, England, USA, Spain and Denmark. Many visiting Bordeaux for the first time – we couldn’t have wished for a better environment, better weather, better company, better view… & wow! Better catering provided by the fabulous Sylvie & Pascal… if future visitors get the chance to experience their amazing food (& great sense of humour!) we would certainly recommend it!!!

“Sylvie and Pascal provided two lovely meals for our family. The first for four adults and one child, the evening of our arrival. Lovely not to have to think about getting a meal!
Delicious confit of Duck with potatoes and mushrooms, with a large salad and apple tart to follow. On the fifth night of our holiday, she and Pascal provided a super buffet for 11 people. The most wonderful quiche, accompanying salads, French bread and a cheese board that would keep you going for a week! French-style crème caramel and a chocolate cake and a custard to go with.
Our experience was delightful and we recommend them both with the certainty that you will enjoy everything they cook!. All home-made with local produce, excellent English and gallic charm!"

"Babeau is a stunning villa in beautiful surroundings. We found everything that we needed in the villa for three generations (58 years to 5months old!) After a fun filled day exploring, we would return to Babeau for an evening barbeque washed with plenty of local wine. Despite having two babies with us, the villa had a plethora of evening activities to offer and we would stay up into to small hours enjoying a game of card / ping pong / darts.
On the evening that we arrived at Babeau, we were greeted by a phenomenal buffet created by the wonderful Sylvie. An array of beautiful homemade dishes were laid out before us and were quickly devoured! Having said this, there was such an incredible amount of food that we were able to continue enjoying it for the next four days! Particular favourites included the quiche, chocolate pots and extensive cheese board. We were then once again met by Sylvie on our fourth day at the villa as she had agreed to take us on a tour of a local vineyard, acting as our translator. Sylvie was informative (she had done extensive research of her own before taking us) and exceptionally friendly. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Sylvie and we would strongly recommend having her cater for you! It was refreshing to find a small business where we could deal with the same person every time that we had an enquiry. Tracy and David were incredibly accommodating and helped to make our stay truly memorable. From arranging celebratory birthday banners on arrival to organising a bespoke wine tour around a local villa, nothing was too much to ask for. Furthermore, their expert knowledge of the local area meant that all of their recommendations exceeded expectations. We look forward to booking our next holiday with Holiday Cottages and Villas.
